BAIC showcased its products including BAIC X55, D50, D70 and X65 at AutoShow Mandalay 2020 during March 6th-8th,. It’s learned that BAIC had the most visitors and test drivers during the show and it’s performance received highly praise from local consumers.
Local media made a through report on the test drive which further enhanced the popularity and reputation of BAIC brand in Myanmar.
In recent years, with the rapid economic growth of Myanmar, the demand for automobiles has increased year by year. About 80% of Myanmar's vehicles are used cars, in 2018 Myanmar banned the import of right-hand-drive used cars. In 2019, a total of 21,916 new cars were sold in Myanmar, increased more than 25% over the previous year. The growth rate of new car sales and production capacity becomes the first in ASEAN. New market opportunities has came for new car sales and local assembly.
In 2013, BAIC officially entered the Myanmar, and it has explored two channels so far, and realized dual brand landing of BAIC and Changhe.
